has become available to join our successful team
Natural Resources Team.
Costain provides engineering services to the Energy, Water, Transport, Nuclear and Defence sectors. With over 300 engineers and designers across the UK. Our main engineering hubs in Manchester, London and Aberdeen. Experience and capability to provide engineering services to all sectors.
To deliver Mechanical Design & Engineering Services to water sector projects.
Costain have an increased engineering and design workload in water sector to support AMP 8 for multiple clients including United Utilities, Severn Trent, Thames Water and Southern Water.
Costain are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer - Water to support this increased workload. Work will be located at Costain Offices at Aviator Way, Manchester, with a blended approach to flexible and home working to support wellbeing.
We welcome applicants from candidates with experience of working in the water sector but equally are seeking people with experience in other industries and sectors to support interdisciplinary learning and on-site delivery.

Role Requirements
• An appropriate Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent in engineering or related discipline.
• Typically a minimum of 12 years experience in their discipline or a closely related one.
• Proficiency in the delivery of engineering design across a number of work categories.
• Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive
• Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way
• Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs
