Responsibilities:
As an Assembly Operative, you will:

Assist in mechanical overhauls of traction Gearboxes, including disassembly and assembly
Conduct mechanical inspections of Rail Gearbox parts
Perform failure and root cause analysis for defects
Execute necessary repairs and quality checks to industry standards
Disassemble and reassemble products per work order instructions
Drive productivity improvements while adhering to efficiency and utilisation standards
Champion health, safety, and environmental practises within your zone
Engage in continuous improvement activities, contributing to workshops and discussions

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

Strong mechanical fitting skills with hands-on experience
Familiarity with Gearbox systems and mechanical overhauls
Proficient in mechanical inspection techniques
Experience in failure and root cause analysis
Commitment to quality checks and safety regulations

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
