We are a dynamic and growing business in the fire suppression industry, specializing in the service and maintenance of fire pump systems. We are seeking a dedicated Fire Pump Engineer to join our team. Our company was acquired by a larger group in October 2020, enhancing our capabilities and growth in the market.
About Us
We specialize in fire suppression systems that extinguish fires through the immediate release of a suppression agent. Each system includes a pump room responsible for delivering the suppressant. Our team ensures that these pump rooms and their equipment function optimally when needed.
Role & Responsibilities
* Perform servicing of fire pump systems according to the specified scope of work, ensuring high-quality standards.
* Provide detailed and accurate service reports, assessing any remedial requirements to maintain the integrity of fire systems.
* Conduct necessary repairs on fire pump systems, adhering to the agreed scope of work with clients.
* Travel outside the local area as needed to meet client demands.
* Perform monthly stock checks on your van and provide timely stock sheets to our Stores.
* Conduct monthly PPE and vehicle checks, submitting timely reports to our safety team.
* Attend out-of-hours callouts as needed, following the callout engineer roster.
* Communicate with clients and colleagues professionally and with integrity.
* Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
* Use and maintain vehicles and tools in accordance with company policies.
* Always adhere to Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
Person Profile (Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill, and Experience)
Essential:
* Permit to work in the UK
* Full clean UK Driving License
* Qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
* Comfortable using handheld electronic devices to record information
* Competent in standard office software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Clean criminal record due to working in highly secure areas
Desirable (but not essential, as full training will be provided):
* CSCS certification
* Asbestos training
* Confined space training
* Electrical certification
* Experience in the UK fire industry
