Our client is a global innovator of technology, they have an opportunity to join the UK R & D team developing UV cured technology and coatings. This key role will oversee a small team focused on development, testing and implement new coating products. You will be a key member of the technical team working with operations and quality teams within UK and the wider Global technical team.

​Key responsibilities:

Lead a small team responsible for the development of coatings.

*

You will manage a number of New Product Development projects and ensure they meet the agreed timings and performance criteria.

*

Part of the R&D management team within the wider organisation.

*

Cross-functional communication skills and team working across R&D will be important requirements.

Other Responsibilities:

*

Manage and develop the UK based R&D team.

*

Oversee and contribute to the delivery of New Product according to agreed time lines and objectives.

*

Demonstrate knowledge of UV cure chemistry, coating chemistry and product development processes

*

Develop and validate technical specifications for products.

*

Oversee the scale-up of new products and ensure their validation at manufacturing scale.

*

Assist with the sourcing of new raw materials and oversee suitable testing to demonstrate suitability.

*

Oversee product maintainability studies to ensure continued product performance

*

Execute compatibility testing of materials and products.

*

Participate in cross-functional work teams within business units.

*

Maintain and update technical information databases.

Candidate Profile

*

Advanced degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

*

Proven track record in leading R&D projects and teams.

*

Strong knowledge of UV cure and coating formulation

*

Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety protocols in the chemical industry.

*

Project management and team leadership abilities.

*

Willingness to travel internationally and work with diverse teams.

*

A dynamic and challenging work environment with opportunities for growth.

*
