WE Talent are currently working with a leading Accountancy Practice in Colchester, that are looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team.

This position would suit a career driven accounts professional that can utilise their experience and progress long term.

The duties include:

• Preparation of year-end financial statements
• Preparing monthly and quarterly financial statement to assist clients in business decisions
• Processing invoices, payments, income and receipts into accounting software and databases ensuring that supporting documents are retained
• Liaising with clients and explaining complex financial matters
• Reconciliation across all control accounts
• Producing and posting of opening balance adjustments
• Working to complete clients VAT returns on time
• Calculating Flat Rate, Partial Exemption. Global Accounting Scheme and Group VAT returns

Experience needed:

• Previous Bookkeeping experience
• Previous experience using Xero, Quickbooks or Free Agent is desirable
• High attention to detail
• An excellent communicator both written and verbal
