My client is a leading Building, Construction & Maintenance company working throughout the South East of England. They have been running for over 15 years and have gradually enjoyed steady growth. Their clients include local authorities, housing associations, domestic and commercial.
The role:
As a Senior Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for managing various financial tasks and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting software and possess excellent attention to detail.
Duties:
- Process financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Generate financial reports and assist with data analysis
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of financial services and accounting principles
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to analyse financial data and generate reports
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Candidates should ideally possess the following: -
· Have a recognised accountancy qualification.
· Job specific experience.
· Experience in budgetary monitoring and forecasting.
· Possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with people at all levels within the organisation.
· Proficient in the use of all Microsoft software, with particular knowledge of Excel.
