We are currently seeking a focused and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a reputable primary school in Camden, London. This full-time role begins in September 2024 and is a 12-month contract with the potential to become a permanent position.

Role Overview: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide 1:1 support to a reception-aged child with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your role will be crucial in helping the child access the curriculum, engage in school activities, and develop social and communication skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a reception-aged child with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
Assist in implementing the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and adapt learning activities accordingly.
Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for the child.
Monitor and record the child's progress, providing feedback to parents and staff.
Support the child's social and emotional development, promoting positive interactions with peers.
Help manage the child's behavior using effective and positive strategies.
Participate in training and professional development sessions as required.Requirements:

Experience working with young children, particularly those with SEN.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
