Staff 86 | The 86 Group are working with a well-established construction solutions business based in Leeds. With a brilliant reputation, and a growing annual turnover, they are looking to welcome a new Quantity Surveyor to join their team due to internal movement.

* Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

* Salary: £40k to £60k DOE

* Location: Leeds / Hybrid working

* Working Hours: Flexible - Usual hours are 7:30am to 4pm

Overview of the role:

* Attend meetings with clients about pre-construction meetings.

* Identify project Risks & Opportunities

* Manage Contract & Collateral Warranty reviews and appraisals.

* Sub-contract package appraisals.

* Raising and issuing Sub-Contract orders and Payment Approvals.

* Manage Valuation & Invoice trackers.

* Reviewing contract obligations and identifying changes

* Prepare schedules before commencement on site

* Work closely with departments across the business to ensure smooth running of projects and time-scales.

* Assist with monthly cost / value reports, implementations of KPIs, and other commercial measures.

Required skills and experience:

* Ideally a minimum of 5 years of experience within a Quantity Surveyor / Estimating role.

* Experience within the Rail environment.

* Knowledge of building contracts such as JCT. NEC3 would be highly desirable.

* An analytical thinker who can analyse and understand numbers to determine Risks & Opportunities.

* A clear communicator who can communicate clearly to different teams across the business.

* IT literate with excellent skills and knowledge of Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
