Recruiting for an amazing opportunity to join as a part-qualified Accountant in a growing company within the Energy sector. Suitable role for those who have completed 6 exams of your professional qualification either ACCA or ACA.

Hybrid: 2 days in the office Location: City of London Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 + full study support

What can you expect?

  • Prepare several key sections of our monthly board reporting, which is driven by the month-end close process. Provide support in compiling board packs as needed.
  • Assist with project financial reporting and the preparation of long-term contract accounting on a project-by-project basis.
  • Maintain a sharp attention to detail is essential for spotting discrepancies in purchase orders and goods receipt, collaborating with process owners to resolve them.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business. Ensure queries are addressed efficiently and data accuracy is maintained.
  • Help monitor and manage cash flow, including supporting monthly pay runs and ensuring accurate bank reconciliations.
  • Conduct financial analysis across different business areas to assess performance against expectations and uncover new opportunities.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process enhancement, including exploring new software solutions and AI tools.
  • Other ad hoc duties.

What skills can you bring?

  • Degree-level educated (preferred but not essential)
  • Studying ACA/ACCA, with minimum completion of the first tranche of exams
  • Previous experience in a finance function or audit team (1-year minimum)
  • Excellent numerical ability, supported by strong academic grades
  • Excellent Excel skills preferred
  • Experience in UK construction or technology industries
  • Experience with Power BI is beneficial
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-orientated and consistent
  • Excellent organisation skills and time management
