Director of Music

Position: Director of Music (KS3 and KS4)

Location: West London

Start Date: September

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

Are you an inspirational and experienced Director of Music looking for a rewarding role in an all boys school? We are an Ofsted rated 'Good' school in West London, seeking a passionate and talented Director of Music to lead our music department and teach Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students starting from September.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the music department, ensuring high-quality music education for all KS3 and KS4 students.
• Deliver engaging and dynamic music lessons that foster a love of music and enhance students' musical skills and understanding.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
• Organize and oversee extracurricular music activities, including school concerts, performances, and competitions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

• A degree in Music or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Music at secondary school level and leading a music department is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to promoting music education.
