Position: Quality Manager
Location: Near Howden, East Yorkshire
Salary: up to £40,000 depending on experience
Hours: Full-Time, Permanent (Monday to Friday) some weekend cover may be required.

Staff Power Group is working with a manufacturing client near Howden, who is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a growing, dynamic business specialising in high-quality food production.

Role Overview:

As the Quality Manager, you will lead the Quality Department, overseeing food safety, quality systems, and compliance with legislative requirements. You'll drive continuous improvement, manage stakeholder relationships, and support third-party audits to uphold the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure site quality systems meet customer, legislative, and industry standards.

* Lead investigations into customer complaints, non-conformances, and defect reports, ensuring effective root cause analysis.

* Promote and maintain a strong food safety culture and high hygiene standards.

* Manage Quality Department activities and team performance to meet business objectives.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

* Develop and manage the Quality Department budget and KPIs.

* Recruit, develop, and motivate the Quality team, ensuring consistent high performance.

* Support risk assessments, hygiene schedules, and GMP audits.

* Act as a key member of the HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP teams, ensuring compliance and best practices.

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Proven experience in Technical/Quality management within food manufacturing.

* Strong knowledge of retailer codes of practice and UK retail customer-facing roles.

* Thorough understanding of food safety legislation and industry best practices.

* HACCP Level 3-4 and TACCP/VACCP qualifications required.
