Salary: £40000/annum + pension + 10% bonus + holidays

Platform Resourcing are currently working in partnership with a world leading manufacturing company based in Cardiff. After a significant period of growth they are looking to strengthen the Operations team by supporting the development of people and processes across the business. This role will encompass delivering appropriate training programmes to employees to support managers in their delivery of business KPIS.

As a Training Instructor you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our Operational team possess the necessary training and certification to adhere to Health and safety and compliance.

Salary and Benefits for In-House Trainer

* Salary of up to £40,000 based on experience + Annual 10% bonus paid in April based on company profit

* Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm or 8am to 4pm (37.5 hours per week)

* 24 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays with Christmas shutdown

* Pension, 4% employee + 5% employer

* Company Events and long Service Awards, award given from 5 years on in 5 year increments

Duties and Responsibilities In-House Trainer

* Deliver training on various equipment and safety procedures, including Counterbalance trucks, Combi lift, Telehandler, Slings, rack inspections, Manual Handling, Small tools, Abrasive Wheels, Working at Height, Harness Fall and Arrest, IPAF MEWP Scissor lift and Cherry Picker, Banksman, and CSCS Card.

* Organize and maintain comprehensive records of vehicle maintenance, ensuring timely 12-week inspections for LGV vehicles, servicing of company vans, and completion of Loler inspections and service records for lifting equipment.

* Actively participate in regular shop floor walkarounds with other managers to monitor and improve workplace conditions.

* Collaborate with the H&S Manager and key colleagues to facilitate and deliver training programs that promote the best health and safety practices.

* Conduct and report on inspections aimed at enhancing health and safety standards across the facility.

* Work closely with Plant Managers to identify, design, and deliver training programs that enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance, ensuring a safe and efficient production environment.

* Lead engaging and effective training sessions using diverse instructional techniques such as presentations, hands-on demonstrations, simulations, and workshops.

* Ensure that all training is delivered according to schedule, providing timely and relevant instruction to employees.

* Utilize various training methodologies to accommodate different learning styles.

* Oversee the logistics of training sessions, including scheduling, room setup, technology needs, and participant communication, ensuring smooth execution.

* Assist with the onboarding of new production employees by providing comprehensive training on site policies, procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.

* Develop training sessions to familiarize new hires with the production environment, including layout and emergency procedures.

* Provide post-training mentorship and coaching to ensure employees apply their newly acquired skills and knowledge effectively in their daily tasks.

* Develop and deliver safety training programs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

* Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics.

* Maintain accurate records of all training activities, attendance, and employee performance, and generate reports to track progress and compliance.

* Create and update training materials, including manuals, instructional videos, and online learning modules, ensuring content accuracy and relevance.

* Apply knowledge of Continuous Improvement techniques, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing to develop and deliver training courses for the production workforce.

Skills and Attributes required for In-House Trainer Role

* RTITB and ALLMI qualified Instructor - Competent to deliver Counterbalance and Reach minimum

* Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

* Proficiency in using training software, multimedia tools, and learning management systems.

* Demonstrated organisational skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

* Flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
