About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Building Control Surveyor to join Central Bedfordshire Council on a temporary contract. You’ll be responsible for overseeing both statutory and non-statutory functions as part of the Local Building Control Authority.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the Council's statutory and non-statutory functions as a Local Building Control Authority
• Managing building regulation applications and providing guidance on policy and technical solutions
• Handling Building Control projects, including complex technical negotiations
• Acting as an expert witness for the Council in building regulations enforcement

Requirements:

• Class 2 F Building Control Inspector (minimum)
• Membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or CABE (Chartered Association of Building Engineers)
• Registered with the BSR (Building Safety Regulator)
• Ability to manage high workloads effectively
