Assistant Management Accountant

Ashley Kate HR & Finance are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing business in North Lincolnshire to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is either studying or looking to continue their studies, while progressing their career in a dynamic finance team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar environment and be confident handling key aspects of the role, even when assisting. You'll be part of a collaborative team, driving financial efficiency and supporting the organisation's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of monthly management reports and balance sheet consolidation
Maintain and update cost databases to ensure accuracy
Collaborate with various departments to challenge costs and improve financial processes
Analyse cost variances and make necessary adjustments
Manage balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are resolved promptly
Prepare and post prepayments, accruals, and support budgeting and forecasting
Produce reports for stakeholders and assist with month/year-end processes
Provide financial advice and support to budget holders
Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements
Support external audits and contribute to year-end processes
Continuously seek ways to improve processes and contribute to the team's successExperience & Skills:

Minimum of 2-3 years' accounting experience
Strong numeracy, analytical, and technical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with financial software packages
