Location: Hayes
Salary: Up to £34,000 + £3,700 shift uplift
Shifts: Double Days - alternating early (06:00-14:00) and late (14:00-22:00) shifts weekly

About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our Maintenance & Facilities team. This is a hands-on role providing mechanical maintenance and electrical support across a busy manufacturing site. You'll play a crucial part in maintaining equipment reliability, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting the operational efficiency of the plant.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out maintenance and repairs to plant equipment and facilities to a high standard, identifying faults effectively.
Conduct daily machine and equipment checks, including statutory inspections within your skillset.
Provide out-of-hours call-in support as part of the shift team.
Proactively identify and report spares required for planned works.
Ensure compliance with all Safety, Environmental and Company procedures.
Demonstrate awareness of environmental responsibilities as set out in Company procedures.What We're Looking For

Qualifications & Education

Mechanical or electrical qualification preferred
Apprenticeship desirable but not essentialExperience & Skills

Previous experience in a similar plant maintenance role
Strong mechanical/electrical background
Experience working at height
Knowledge of pipework (PVC), pumps and motors
Understanding of gas ovens, chillers, rectifiers (preferred)
Understanding of air handling units/air conditioning (preferred)Personal Attributes

Able to follow written and verbal instructions clearly
Confident using tools and equipment safely
Able to work independently and remain calm under pressure
