Conveyancing Fee EarnerLocation: Newcastle or Sunderland (depending on locality of candidate)An established and expanding law firm with offices in Newcastle and Sunderland is looking to add a skilled Conveyancing Fee Earner to its respected property team. This firm is known for its commitment to client service and providing high-quality legal advice. They are seeking a proactive and experienced individual to handle residential property transactions in a collaborative and supportive environment.The RoleThe successful candidate will manage their own caseload of residential property transactions from start to finish. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career growth within a firm that values its team members and provides clear pathways for advancement.Key Responsibilities
  • Independently managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity
  • Conducting title reviews, examining contracts, and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
  • Liaising effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors
  • Drafting and reviewing necessary documents, handling enquiries, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Providing exceptional client service and clear communication throughout each transaction
Requirements
  • Ideally, a qualified solicitor with NQ to 3 years’ PQE, although we encourage interested applicants outside of this range to apply including unqualified individuals with a minimum of 3 years’ fee-earning experience in conveyancing
  • Strong knowledge of the residential conveyancing process, including SDLT, Land Registry requirements, and lender protocols
  • Excellent client care skills and the ability to manage transactions efficiently and effectively
  • Proficiency in case management systems is advantageous
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
