Company: MILK EDUCATION

Job Type: Contract, Full Time

Salary: £120 - £250/day

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher to join a highly regarded SEN school in Manchester, catering to Secondary -aged pupils with autism, severe or profound multiple learning difficulties, and related challenges. This school is widely acknowledged for its supportive environment, both by staff and parents, and has earned excellent feedback from Ofsted and the wider community. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled SEN Teacher for a 12-month maternity cover, starting in January.

The Role

This established SEN school is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to cover a maternity leave. The role offers flexibility, as the successful candidate can choose to work in either KS3/KS4, as the class allocations are yet to be decided. The school is open to adapting based on the teacher's skills and preferences. However, experience in SEN teaching, particularly with ASD and SLD, is essential. The role involves teaching a multi-sensory, informal curriculum to pupils working at lower P levels.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have recent experience teaching in a UK SEN school and hold QTS/QTLS or an equivalent qualification.

The School

The school is situated in Manchester and offers ample parking facilities. It is well-connected, with bus routes running every 10 minutes to the nearest train station, which is just 10 minutes away. Falling under the Hounslow Local Authority, the school has a strong reputation, attracting pupils from across Manchester and the Home Counties due to its exceptional educational and pastoral care. Parents play an active role in the school community, and the school's Senior Leadership Team operates an open-door policy, ensuring effective communication and support for staff and families. This transparent and collaborative approach has fostered a positive working and learning environment for all.

The Ideal Applicant

* Hold a valid teaching qualification
* Have experience working with students with autism and SLD
* Have experience teaching SEN pupils at KS1/2 level
* Be available to commit for the full academic year

If you meet these criteria, please submit your application with an up-to-date CV and professional references. The school is looking to interview candidates as soon as possible.

We work closely with a wide network of nurseries, primary and secondary schools, and colleges across Manchester, offering a variety of daily, long-term, and permanent opportunities for teachers
