Vision for Education are working closely with a  Primary School in Ashford who currently has a vacancy for a Learning Support Assisatnt to jon their team.  The school are looking for someone who has experience working with children ideally in a school setting, Positive and patient approach and great communication skills. This is a fulltime role and is due to start in January 2025.

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students with a range of learning needs, ensuring they have the opportunity to succeed and thrive in a positive and inclusive environment. You will provide tailored support to individual children or small groups, helping to facilitate their learning and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality lessons, ensuring all students are engaged and progressing.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with additional learning needs.
Assist in the development and delivery of differentiated learning resources and activities.
Help students with personal care, social skills, and emotional regulation where required.
Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Promote an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child feels valued.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
What We Are Looking For:

Experience of working with children, ideally in a school setting (although relevant experience in other settings will also be considered).
A positive, patient, and flexible approach, with the ability to build strong relationships with children and staff.
A commitment to supporting the inclusion and wellbeing of all students.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A team player who is willing to contribute to the wider school community.
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) or a willingness to work towards one is desirable.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
