Import or Export Operator

Package on offer:

* Required start date: ASAP

* Job Type: Full-time, 09:00-17:00, Monday - Friday

* Salary: £25,000.00 per year, up to £30,000 per year

Duties:

* Import and or Export operations

* Obtaining rates & accurately quoting customers

* Data entry - attentively checking detail while building jobs / inputting data

* Liaising with handling agents

* Making timely Import / Export bookings with suppliers

* Completing customs entries

* Arranging transport (collections & deliveries)

* Generating sales invoices, passing purchase invoices, adhering to profit/loss rules

* Training

* Carrying out other tasks related to Freight Forwarding & current business demands

The Successful Applicant:

* Minimum 1 year of experience in either Exports or Imports

* Has good knowledge of all aspects of shipments (Imports or Exports from point of origin to destination, including hazardous goods)

* Has knowledge and experience of customs procedures and documentation

* Has confident and effective communications skills (verbal and via email), with the ability to build relationships with customers

* Has full knowledge of all Incoterms as appropriate to Imports or Exports

* Can collaborate with the customer to provide the best service available within the time constraints provided & can consistently meet deadlines in a timely manner

* Is IT literate
