Group Financial Controller responsible for monthly Board-level reporting and twice yearly external financial reporting. Office based 4 days per week.

Description

  • Provide consolidated management accounts, forecasts and budgets to support effective business decisions.
  • Preparation of a monthly Board Report and attendance at all Audit Committees.
  • Oversee the production of half-yearly and annual financial accounts consolidations.
  • Preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts for external publication.
  • Ensure that statutory accounting requirements are complied with throughout the Group.
  • Ensure that the Group complies with relevant corporate governance standards.
  • Maintain and develop the financial control environment and integrity of financial reporting processes.
  • Deal with external advisors to resolve any audit issues that may arise.
  • Management & development of a high quality team of Qualified individuals

Profile

  • Professional qualification, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Very strong technical accounting knowledge base (IFRS) and financial accounting skills.
  • Have operated in a large Plc environment most likely FTSE 100 in a technical financial accounting position.
  • Previous technical interaction with professional/corporate advisers is desirable.
  • A good knowledge of process review , re-engineering, and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to manage and coach teams through business transformation and change.
  • Excellent written, visual and verbal, presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence with collaborative and team-working traits.
  • The ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders and the confidence to challenge.
