ROLE - Project Manager     

SALARY - £45,000- £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)  

TYPE - Permanent  

Location- Surrey     

My client designs and manufactures bespoke machinery and fabricated equipment. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Surrey on a permanent basis.  

The Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
Experienced Project Manager, ideally with a background in Design / Product Development
Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
PRINCE2 or a similar Project Management qualification would be beneficial but not required
A background in Aerospace, Automotive or related industries would be beneficial 
Knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, fabrication, welded parts and machining 
Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.
Knowledge of a variety of materials - sheet metal, injection moulded plastics etc. 
Be able to read engineering drawings 
Strong leadership skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results on time and budget
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team 
Responsibilities include:
Lead and Project Manage the Design, Prototyping, Development, Testing and Introduction of new products
Identifying and managing full lifecycle projects, from bid generation to manufacture and delivery
Successfully delivering projects on time and on budget 
Working on full lifecycle design projects 
Designing and developing new products
Producing detailed works schedules, resource and projects plans
Liaising with clients as required keeping them up to date with project progress
Working with design, purchasing and production departments 
Presenting project plans and reports to management 
Reporting progress, managing risks and responding to issues
Maintaining technical documentation as required 
Working in a small, multidisciplined team
