Are you an experienced primary or Secondary trained teacher considering a change of scene? Perhaps you're looking for a new focus or have experience within a SEN environment? We are looking for a teacher to join this specialist team in Ware, Hertfordshire from September and help provide a tailored education for students with Autism and communication needs.

We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist ASD school based in the East of Hertfordshire who are looking for a class teacher to join their ambitious and well supported staff team. As an SEN Teacher, you will be required to support with English across the school, helping design the curriculum and delivery to pupils who work across the Primary P levels. This is a key role for to make a significant difference in the lives of these students by delivering engaging lessons tailored to their individual learning requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons to students aged 11+ with special educational needs, working at the Primary P levels
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students and extend this to colleagues and other class teachers via training and workshops.
  • Support students in developing their reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and SLT, parents, and Headteacher
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher status with experience teaching in either a primary,s econdary or SEN setting
  • Special educational needs (SEN) teaching experience or relevant qualifications
  • Demonstrated passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with best practices in SEN teaching
