Project Manager - The role:

Linklaters is on a mission to redefine excellence in how our Business Teams collaborate with our practices to enhance client experiences. We are at the heart of a strategic transformation, central to realizing the firm's ambitious goals.

We invite you to be a pivotal part of this journey as a Project Manager within our core programme management team.

This role is offered as a 12 month fixed term contract.

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in planning and executing transformative projects across our global Business Teams organisation.

Collaborating closely with our Programme Director, Programme Manager, and various workstream leads, you will manage critical changes that align with our strategic objectives. This role provides an opportunity to influence and drive significant impact across the firm.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Aligning project requirements with strategic programme objectives.
  • Establishing and leading project teams to achieve set goals, managing resources effectively.
  • Developing detailed project plans, track critical activities and dependencies, and adjust as necessary.
  • Collaborating with the change and communications teams to design and implement effective change management strategies.
  • Maintaining active engagement with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring involvement and support.
  • Managing project finances, including budget development and expenditure tracking.
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating risks, escalating issues as needed.
  • Creating and maintaining essential project documentation and provide regular performance updates.

Project Manager - What we're looking for:

  • A seasoned Project Manager with at least five years of experience, including three years in transformational change projects.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing external suppliers, particularly in business process transformation and outsourcing.
  • Background in legal services or professional services is highly advantageous.
  • Holder of a recognized project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM) with ongoing professional development.
  • Exceptional decision-making skills, consultative approach, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and capable of adapting to evolving priorities.
