Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Vehicle Technician and/or MOT Tester to join our client's experienced team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various technical tasks, including equipment repair and assembly. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service. The Senior Technician will play a vital role in maintaining our equipment and ensuring that all operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

* Operate and maintain various types of machinery and equipment.

* Perform repairs on equipment using hand tools and power tools.

* Assemble components according to schematics and technical drawings.

* Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

* Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance.

* Assist in training junior technicians and sharing knowledge of best practices.

* Execute heavy lifting tasks as required during maintenance or installation processes.

* Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory.

Experience

* Proven experience in a similar Senior Vehicle Technician role with a strong emphasis on mechanical knowledge.

* NVQ Level 3

* MOT Licence is a nice to have.

* Demonstrated ability to read and interpret diagnostics for assembly and repair tasks.

* Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostics and other relevant equipment safely and effectively.

* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.

* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers alike.
