Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and challenging behaviour? Or are you a graduate aspiring to become a teacher in the future? We want to hear from you!

TeacherActive are working with a vibrant and welcoming academy in Hayes, part of a multi-academy trust, looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with SEN on a full-time, 5-day-a-week basis.

Role Overview:

Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Hayes, Greater London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time (5 days a week)
Support: Students with SEN, including ASD and challenging behaviour
Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with ASD and challenging behaviour
Work closely with the classroom teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Assist with the development of individual learning plans and strategies
Foster positive behaviour and encourage engagement in learning activities
Maintain clear communication with staff, parents, and carers

Ideal Candidate:

A graduate or someone looking to become a teacher in the future
Experience working with students with SEN, particularly ASD and challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)
Patient, empathetic, and dedicated to making a difference in students' lives
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) would be advantageous
A DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
