About the role:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and fostering a positive learning environment. You will have the opportunity to lead small group interventions, cover classes when necessary, and assist in planning and preparing teaching resources.

Your role will involve working closely with students who require additional support, ensuring they are able to access the curriculum and make progress in their learning. You will also take on responsibilities such as assessing student progress, providing feedback, and contributing to the overall wellbeing of the pupils. Your input will be instrumental in helping to create a safe and inclusive atmosphere where every child can thrive academically and socially.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Teaching Assistant (TA).
• Proven ability to support the learning and development of primary-aged children.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A proactive approach to classroom support, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• HLTA qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead small group interventions and provide one-on-one support where necessary.
• Assist in planning and preparing resources for lessons.
• Cover classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring smooth lesson delivery.
• Support children with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they have equal access to the curriculum.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and parents.
