Qualified Nursery Nurse

Nurse Seekers are proud to be recruiting a Qualified Nursery Practitioner on behalf of a unique quality home-from-home Nursery which is based near Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire. The successful candidate must ensure to provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children at the nursery and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Requirements

Cache/NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Early years or equivalent
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Perceptive, patient and responsive nature
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities

To provide a safe, secure and warm environment, treating each child with equal concern
To work alongside the Head of Nursery and team to ensure that the setting's philosophy is fulfilled
To effectively deliver the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) ensuring that the individual needs and interests of children in the setting are met
To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs
To advise Designated Safeguarding Leads of any concerns, e.g. over children, parents, the safety of the environment, preserving confidentiality as necessary
To keep records of your key children's development and learning journeys and share with parents, carers and other key adults in the child's life
To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff that is acquired as part of the job
To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children, having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories
To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other responsible duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snacks / meals, cleansing of equipment, etc. to ensure children's need are met
To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times
To read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the setting
Undertake self-development activities to ensure continuous professional development and to keep abreast of industry changes
