Are you an experienced maintenance engineer looking to join a dynamic and innovative team? Our client in Maldon is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure the effective and efficient repair and maintenance of machinery and facilities.

Responsible for effective and efficient activities in repairing all machinery to National Standards. These activities include Planned Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance, Equipment reliability as well as using the CMMS system for the maintenance department. Optimizing equipment reliability through a continuous improvement plan and actively respecting all values with regards to Safety and training.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

Aware of all IEEE, BS7671 Wiring Regs and Electricity at Work regulations
Ensuring that safety, quality, customer service and costs goals for engineering and reliability are successfully achieved
Will be responsible for the facility maintenance
Use the CMMS program to provide optimum reliability for the operation of manufacturing and ancillary systems
Promote and generate improvement ideas and takes responsibility to complete on time and budget
Responsible for plant facility and ancillary services
Completion of relevant records of faults and projects carried out

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer position

Maintenance engineering apprenticeship
HNC/ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field would be beneficial
Qualified to 18th edition desired
Experience with using lathe, milling machine to produce tooling and parts such as bushes, shafts couplings etc.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical systems, electronic drives and controls.
Experience of AC and DC drives is advantageous
Awareness of basic PLC fault finding
Ability to read and interpret maintenance documents i.e. electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams
