Our Client are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Executive to join their fresh food business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive growth, optimise operations, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Role Details:

* Position: Commercial Executive

* Reporting to: Commercial Director

* Salary: £30,000-£35,000 doe

* Schedule: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00

Key Responsibilities:

1. Availability Management: Identify and implement strategies to improve product availability, leveraging key performance indicators and business levers.

2. Stock Optimisation: Review and suggest improvements to optimise stock holding and minimise waste while maintaining product quality.

3. Commercial Support: Provide efficient support to the Buying Manager and Buyers, utilising strong communication skills and initiative to achieve business goals.

4. Demand Planning: Collaborate with Demand Planners to align forecasts, promotional volumes, and key event planning. Conduct post-event analysis to refine future strategies.

5. Supply Chain Optimisation: Investigate and resolve availability issues across the supply chain, from supplier to shelf. Optimise branch ranging based on sales data.

6. New Product Introduction: Work closely with Demand Planners on new line setup, ensuring alignment on initial and promotional volumes.

7. Compliance and Strategy: Support supply chain strategies and projects while adhering to guidelines.

8. Product Lifecycle Management: Coordinate various product-related changes, including new lines, cost/retail adjustments, and deletions.

9. Process Management: Ensure proper approval and authorisation of retail processes, cost processes, promotions, and data sharing.

10. Promotional Administration: Manage promotional activities, including marketing material approval and supplier query resolution.

11. Communication: Issue communications through appropriate channels, resolve queries, and handle customer complaints.

12. Team Support: Assist with sampling, departmental events, commercial meetings, and administrative tasks.

13. Best Practices: Promote and maintain high standards in hygiene, health & safety, and environmental practices.

14. Innovation: Identify and communicate areas for improvement and innovation within the business.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting

* Experience in retail or fresh food industry preferred

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

* Proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements
