Our client is a leading energy solutions provider specializing in the design, installation, and maintenance of energy-efficient systems across various sectors, including healthcare, commercial, and industrial projects. With a commitment to sustainability and innovation, they deliver high-quality projects that meet the needs of their clients while contributing positively to the environment. They currently require a Mechanical Site Manager to work on a substantial hospital project in the Oxford region and are ideally looking for a local candidate as the project has a year left to run. They will however consider a suitable applicant who will need to lodge but has a 2 hour max travel time.
Position Overview:
Our client are seeking a skilled Mechanical Site Manager with the ideal candidate having a strong background in mechanical installations and project management, a proven track record in commercial construction projects and ideally previous hospital experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete installation and administrative reports to track project progress and compliance.
Liaise effectively with the project team and clients, facilitating weekly meetings to discuss project status and any issues that arise.
Prepare work schedules for site operatives, collaborating with the overall team to create efficient workflows.
Manage subcontractors to ensure work is completed to the required standards and within timelines.
Ensure IT literacy to manage documentation and reports efficiently.
Oversee site labour, including conducting risk assessments, preparing method statements, and delivering inductions for site personnel.
Maintain site safety at all times, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Arrange any necessary shutdowns in coordination with the client and project team, minimizing disruption to the project timeline.
Qualifications:
Proven experience working on commercial projects, preferably in the healthcare sector.
Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively.
Proficiency in IT, including project management software and documentation tools.
