Job Overview:

Time Recruitment are currently seeking a skilled and experienced MIG Welder with expertise in aluminium and steel welding for our client based in Stockport. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MIG welding, specifically with aluminium/steel materials and be able to produce high-quality welds for a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to grow with the business too. Duites of the role will include:

• Perform MIG welding on aluminium components, ensuring high-quality, strong, and durable welds.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements and specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and adjusted for optimal performance.
• Maintain clean and safe work practices in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and precision, conducting necessary adjustments to meet specifications.
• Work closely with the production team to meet project timelines and production goals.
• Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of welding equipment and tools.
• Continuously improve welding techniques and learn about new methods and materials.

The successful candidate must:

• Have at least 2 years experience welding experience
• Be able to interpret engineering drawings
• Be a team player
• Be an effective Communicator
