The Recruitment Co are looking for an experienced Goods in / out operative to join our client based in Little Hulton.

This position is directly permanent with our client

The Role:
Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, the Goods In/Out Operative will support with receipt and booking in of goods received, packaging and dispatching of Service equipment, replenishment stock and picking & packaging of parts orders for dispatch.

What will you be doing?

  • Pick and pack orders for equipment and spare parts
  • Greet customers at the service door and build positive relationships
  • Book in incoming service repairs, log on ERP system and tag items for servicing
  • Complete customer handovers and make sure relevant documentation is completed
  • Handle incoming shipments from third-party couriers, including unpacking
  • Book out outgoing service repairs for dispatch
  • Complete customer handovers for serviced items
  • Pack items and coordinate courier pick-up for outgoing equipment
  • Ensure a well organised and presentable Service Garage and Reception area organised
  • Carry out regular stock takes and liaise with Procurement department with any stock discrepancies and outages
  • Take part in the 6 monthly stock take process
  • Ad hoc support to the wider stores, service and production teams



About You

  • Prior experience working with goods in and dispatch
  • Prior customer service experience
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Experience with various IT packages
  • A good level of attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills
  • Able to respond effectively to changing priorities.
  • Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic personality.
  • Able to work in a busy environment that often demands high levels of concentration.
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Driving license
  • Counterbalance FLT licence would be beneficial
  • Good communicator?.
