Citadel Source is excited to be exclusively partnering with an acquisitive, multi-site leisure client to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role to support the business during an exciting period of rapid growth. The role will be based in Bristol four times a week, reporting directly to the Financial Controller, and working closely with an established team.

The Role

This is an autonomous role offering broad exposure to month-end processes, managing the end-to-end process for multiple business entities. It also provides the opportunity to partner with the operations team, supporting critical decision-making and driving group-wide performance. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a candidate seeking a new challenge in a fast-paced environment, supporting the wider finance team and building on their management accounting knowledge and experience.

About You

You will be a personable, detail-oriented accountant with a desire to build on your management accounting experience and gain exposure to the entire month-end process. The successful candidate will be adaptable in this fast-paced environment while remaining eager to learn and acquire new skills. Strong Excel skills are essential, and experience with accounting software, such as Xero, is desirable.

As a Management Accountant, your role will include (but not be limited to):

• Production of monthly management accounts for multiple entities
• Monthly analysis and responding to queries from stakeholders
• Reviewing revenue reconciliations and reporting revenue each month
• Operating monthly payroll and completing all associated returns
• Completing intercompany recharges
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
• Managing accrual and prepayment schedules, and fixed asset registers
• Completing quarterly VAT returns
• Assisting during external audits
• Providing support and assistance to the wider finance team
• Ad hoc project requirements

What the Client Offers:

• A salary between £35,000 and £40,000
• Hybrid working (four days a week in the Bristol office)
• Pension
