Mechanical Fitter

We are recruiting for a prismatic machining & mechanical assembly business for the Civil & Military Aerospace Industry. Our client specialise in high speed 5 axis soft & hard metal plus composite machining up to 3 metres in length. We are looking for a full time permanent Mechanical Fitter to be based in Hyde.

Key skills required:

* Over 4 years working experience as a Mechanical Fitter

* Apprentice trained engineering fitter

* Experience of working in manufacturing or repair shop experience at least 2 years

* Must have hands on engineering fitting experience over 2 years

* Training in general safety and quality system awareness is required

* Must have a good understanding and application of geometric dimensions, fits, and tolerances etc.

* Able to drill, countersink, and tap using a radial drill and other tools

* Must be organised and must be able to work to tight deadlines

* Experience with low-volume, high value, defect-free is parts essential

* Forklift Truck Licence beneficial, but not essential

Hours of work Monday to Thursday 7.45am - 5pm and Friday 7.45am - 10.45am - shift system
