Salary: £34,000–£36,000

As the Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery. You’ll have the chance to lead and inspire a team of skilled practitioners, support high-quality early years education, and build strong partnerships with families. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your leadership skills while staying hands-on with the children’s learning and development.

 

What we’re looking for

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher) is essential.
  • Proven senior experience within a nursery, with a strong understanding of EYFS standards.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • A proactive, compassionate, and creative approach to early years education.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being and development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
  • Lead and mentor the team, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high-quality care and education.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that supports children’s emotional, social, and physical development.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, acting as a key point of contact for communication and collaboration.
  • Assist with administrative duties, including staffing, budgeting, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Take charge in the Manager’s absence, ensuring continuity and high standards of care.
