Deputy Nursery Manager – Inspire, Lead, and Grow

As the Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery. You’ll have the chance to lead and inspire a team of skilled practitioners, support high-quality early years education, and build strong partnerships with families. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your leadership skills while staying hands-on with the children’s learning and development.
What we’re looking for
- A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher) is essential.
- Proven senior experience within a nursery, with a strong understanding of EYFS standards.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- A proactive, compassionate, and creative approach to early years education.
- A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
- Lead and mentor the team, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high-quality care and education.
- Develop and implement engaging activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that supports children’s emotional, social, and physical development.
- Build strong relationships with parents, acting as a key point of contact for communication and collaboration.
- Assist with administrative duties, including staffing, budgeting, and maintaining accurate records.
- Take charge in the Manager’s absence, ensuring continuity and high standards of care.
