Rent Arrears Officer

Do you have an eye for detail, can analyse processes, and can give sound recommendations for improvements to service users?

£15.54 p/h PAYE - £21.43 p/h Umbrella

Based in Chelmsford - HYBRID

36 hours p/w

The role includes:

1. Maximise income from Rent Accounts and Housing Benefit
2. Effectively manage rent, service charge and debt collection
3. Follow rent arrears policy for rent arrears recovery
4. Variety of communication methods including phone, letter, SMS, email

This will involve:

• Strong IT skills would be expected across Microsoft packages and other desktop applications
• Knowledge of the welfare benefit system
• Give advise on housing related benefits and calculate customers housing benefit

Requirements

• Rent Arrears - current and former Making Payment arrangements

Desireable

• Experience with Omniledger
