Engineering Compliance Manager

Are you a compliance champion with a knack for detail, a passion for engineering, and the drive to ensure excellence in a fast-paced environment? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

About the Role

As our Engineering Compliance Manager, you'll lead the charge in ensuring site adheres to the highest legal, regulatory, and customer compliance standards. You'll be the technical expert guiding the engineering team and collaborating across the site to maintain seamless operations and unmatched safety, quality, and efficiency.

What You'll Be Doing

* Overseeing all statutory and retailer compliance systems (L8, LOLER, PUWER, DSEAR, and more).

* Managing compliance systems, audits, and asset listings using CMMS.

* Coordinating and delivering on-site testing, from fire alarms to emergency lights.

* Ensuring seamless planned and unplanned maintenance while managing spares inventory.

* Creating and reviewing risk assessments, method statements, and safe working practices.

* Driving improvements in KPIs, planned maintenance routines, and cross-team communication.

* Leading on-site contractor permits and overseeing adherence to safety legislation.

* Investigating hazards, risks, and near misses while fostering a proactive safety culture.

* Supporting engineering projects, sustainability efforts, and best practice sharing.

What You'll Bring

Essential:

* A recognised apprenticeship in electrical and mechanical engineering.

* Strong leadership and management skills.

* Numeracy, literacy, and basic IT skills.

Desirable:

* FMCG or compliance experience in engineering.

* Expertise in effluent treatment plants and engineering compliance systems.

* IOSH or similar safety qualification.
