Driver Hire (Torbay) are looking for a 7.5T/Class 2 driver, with HIAB, for our client based in Paignton. This is a temp-to-perm position.
The successful candidate will predominantly drive a 7.5T vehicle with occasional Class 2 driving, delivering steel to customers in South and Mid Devon. You will be loading and unloading your vehicle, so you must be happy with hand-ball and heavy lifting.
Occasionally, drivers will be asked to do some deliveries in a van, and to move stock between warehouses in Paignton and Saltash.
Role Highlights:
- Pay Rate: £30,804 annually
- Shift Start: 08:00 - 17:00 (Monday - Friday)
- Temp-to-Perm
What You'll Be Doing:
- Safely carry out deliveries to customers is South & Mid Devon.
- Loading & Unloading of vehicles.
- Move stock between warehouses.
- Occasional van driving.
- Providing exceptional customer service at each delivery.
- Following company policies and maintaining high standards.
What We're Looking For:
- A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Digital Tachograph Card and Driver Qualification Card (CPC).
- Must have safety footwear.
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role, including hand-balling.
