Project Engineer - Landfill/Earthworks - Somerset - 12-Month Contract - £320-£350/day (Outside IR35)

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a major landfill/earthworks project based in Somerset. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a long-term scheme, offering 12 months of work with competitive rates outside IR35.

Role Overview:

As Project Engineer, you will support the delivery of a large-scale landfill/earthworks project, working closely with the site and project management teams to ensure technical and commercial objectives are achieved on time and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

Manage and review engineering design and construction activities

*

Liaise with the client, contractors, and consultants to ensure project progress

*

Support the preparation of RAMS, ITPs, and quality documentation

*

Oversee earthworks activities, drainage, and associated civils works

*

Ensure compliance with environmental and health & safety regulations

*

Monitor project milestones and provide regular progress reports

Requirements:

*

Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification

*

Proven experience on landfill, earthworks, or major civils infrastructure projects

*

Strong understanding of NEC contracts (preferred)

*

Excellent communication and coordination skills

*

CSCS card (essential)

*

SMSTS/SSSTS (desirable)
