Are you looking for a hands-on career in manufacturing? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Machine Operator to join our team in Whitley Bridge, near Goole.

Key Details:

* Initial Training (First 6-8 weeks):

* Full-time, Monday to Friday (40-hour week), day shifts

* Hands-on training to operate large machinery, including roller machines and laminating equipment

* Learn essential skills to prepare you for shift work

* After Training:

* Transition to a shift-based role (168 hours per month)

* Shift hours will vary based on business needs:

* 15:00 to 03:00

* 06:00 to 18:00

* 18:00 to 06:00

* Shifts will primarily be Thursday to Sunday

* Long-Term Development: Over 6-8 months, you will be trained to take on a Team Leader role, working closely with a Deputy.

Requirements:

* Basic mechanical knowledge is essential, as you'll be working with large roller machines and laminating equipment

* Computer/IT literate to manage machinery controls and input data

* Physically fit, as this is a manual role involving lifting and operating heavy machinery

Salary Progression:

* Training Pay (first 6-8 weeks): £12.25 per hour, Monday to Friday

* Post-Training Pay (on shifts): Guaranteed 168 hours per month

* Pay progression: £14.00, £15.00, and up to £18.00 per hour once fully trained and able to cover for Team Leaders

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate and maintain large roller and laminating machines

* Transition to shift work, covering for various Team Leaders

* Develop leadership skills to manage production shifts

* Support in ensuring smooth production and effective operations
