Grafton Banks Finance are working with a large financial services business, based in Crawley, to recruit a Senior Project Accountant role.

This is a newly created role as the business embarks on an ambitious and exciting growth strategy which will lead to significant transformation. The role will support the Project Management Office (PMO) to provide financial analysis, reporting, and appraisals of new and exciting projects.

We are looking for a qualified accountant who is experienced supporting projects and project proposals. Ideally you’ll have worked in large businesses and its essential you have strong communication skills and advanced analytical skills including financial modelling.

Key tasks:

• Creation of financial models with assumption and scenario analysis for initial project proposals to support strategic prioritisation, including time and cost allocation mechanisms.
• Work with Project Sponsors and Project Managers to produce investment appraisal analysis for inclusion in project Business Cases, including benefits identification and realisation.
• Provide advice and opinion on the viability of projects.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial Project and Portfolio view reports, including those issued to Leadership team and the Board.
• Contribute to the end-to-end delivery of financial forecasting and budgeting processes for the Project Portfolio.
• Work closely with the PMO team to analyse project cost variances and offer recommendations to address these, including time and cost allocation mechanisms.
• Support the tracking of Opex V Capex project costs.

Salary for this role is up to £78,000 + benefits including 10% bonus, generous pension, private healthcare, and 25 days holiday. The role is hybrid working with 2 days per week in the offices.
