About the Pub

The Anvil is a busy wet-led pub in a great location, at the heart of the community. This pub would be suitable for first time publicans as well as experienced operators. It has undergone a external refurbishment on the outside seating area and updated decorations and signage. The internal trading area consists of one main bar with a small trade kitchen off to the side, ideal for preparing sandwiches and snacks. The bar services one main trading area and another area to the side used for darts, pool and sports TV viewing. This area is also great for private events. There is a large outside area at the back, again ideal for private events and drinking on a sunny day. A private car park for up to 10 cars is available to the rear.

This is a great heart of the community wet-led pub, that is busy over the weekends with locals. During the week, the pub experiences high trade with walkers and dog walkers. It lends itself to quiz nights, sports clubs, and live music. The locals love events and will also use the pub for birthday parties, gender reveals and live sports events on the TV.

The pub is situated just off the main road between Hillsborough and the Village of Stannington. There are several residential properties nearby, mainly homeowners with disposable income. The area is also popular for walkers at weekends and dog walkers during the week.
