• Handle credit control tasks including issuing monthly customer statements, and managing communications through letters and phone calls.
• Manage sales invoice processing via EDI and customer portals.
• Address debit notes received, managing approvals, and processing credit notes.
• Liaise with the customer service team, account managers, and agents/sales reps regarding potential issues and debit notes management; arrange regular meetings to address these.
• Conduct credit checks for new account applications and set credit limits for new and existing customers using online services, advising of any issues.
• Maintain records of credit control notes and report monthly to the manager.
• Prepare monthly sales agents and reps commission statements for the UK, Europe, and USA.
• Analyse monthly credit notes and accounts receivables.
• Process payments received via cheque, BACS, and card in multiple currencies (GBP, EUR, USD), including processing refunds.
• Provide support and cover to the team during holidays, busy periods, or projects.
• Adapt to changing business needs and take on new tasks as the role evolves.

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within an FMCG environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with essential Excel skills.
• Knowledge of VAT and international exports (FOB/Ex-works/DDP).
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Organised and accurate, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Proactive problem solver with a ‘can do’ attitude, agile to change and challenges.
• High energy levels and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• An interest in Party, Homewares, Gift, Beauty, Fashion, or Accessories is beneficial.

The hours are 9-5.30pm fully in the office. There may be potential for a permanent role.
