Payroll Bookkeeper

Due to expansion, I am currently recruiting on behalf of my growing client, based in Long Eaton, for an experienced Payroll Bookkeeper, to join their talented team on a full-time basis.

We are seeking an experienced individual with proven Payroll Processing and Bookkeeping experience. Experience using systems such as BrightPay, Xero, QuickBooks and Sage is also desired. AAT or equivalent qualification is desired but not essential if qualified by experience.

About the role:

* Processing payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations

* Managing auto-enrolment pension schemes and ensuring timely submissions

* Preparing and submitting VAT returns in accordance with MTD requirements

* Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage

* Reconciling bank accounts and financial statements

* Assisting clients with payroll and bookkeeping queries, providing high-quality customer service

* Supporting accountants with year-end processes and financial reports

* Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial legislation and deadlines

Hours and Pay:

* Salary up to £32,000 - dependent on experience

* Monday to Friday

About you:

* Proven experience in Payroll Processing and Bookkeeping

* Experience using systems such as BrightPay, Xero, QuickBooks and Sage

* Understanding of UK payroll legislation, VAT, and auto-enrolment pension schemes

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

* Ability to meet deadlines and targets

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
