Earthstream are proud to be recruiting a Electr for our client who provide specialist control system design and manufacturing services for industrial machinery.

Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual with management experience to join our team as a Workshop Manager. If you have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical Installations and management experience within the electrical or industrial control systems sector, and possess strong leadership skills, we want to hear from you. This role is based at our Hinckley site, with occasional travel to customer sites during the installation phases of projects.

Responsibilities:

* Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.

* Supervise and coordinate a team of electricians and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

* Plan, schedule, and allocate resources for various projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

* Work on-site at customer premises in industries as required.

* Oversee the installation of control panels, mains, 24V dc, and communication cables, cable containment, wiring motors, sensors, and remote Input/Output nodes.

* Ensure proper termination of field cables in control panels.

* Occasionally work weekends and stay overnight away from home as required.

* Manage the wiring of electrical control panels and equipment in our workshops.

* Incorporate PLC, CNC, or PC-based controllers, AC servo drives, and inverter motor controllers in control panel wiring.

* Ensure control panels are built according to CAD drawings provided by electrical designers.

* Collaborate with electrical designers and other team members to ensure project requirements are met.

* Maintain a strong health and safety culture within the workshop and on-site.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in within the electrical or industry control systems sector with management experience

* Excellent leadership and team management skills.

* Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a good health and safety culture.

* Willingness to work on-site at customer premises and be available for overnight stays as required.

* Flexibility to work weekends and overtime when necessary.

* Proficiency in reading electrical drawings
