We're looking for a qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our team at Thornton Garage for 8 weeks. You will carry out safety inspections and repairs on a range of vehicles, including vans, tippers, refuse lorries, and hiabs.

Key Duties

* Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy and light commercial vehicles in line with PCC and Department for Transport standards.

* Respond to breakdowns and assist with roadside recoveries.

* Prepare vehicles for MOT tests.

* Participate in an out-of-hours standby rota.

* Keep the workshop clean and organized.

Essential Skills

* Current valid driver's licence.

* Qualified to City & Guilds or equivalent.

* Minimum 3 years' experience as a vehicle fitter.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

* HGV/PSV driving licence.

* Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic system repairs.

* Qualified MOT tester (Class 4, 5, and 7)
