Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Scrub Nurse to join our team in Salisbury. This role involves assisting in surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and supporting the surgical team throughout operations.

Key Responsibilities

Surgical Preparation & Assistance

* Ensure the operating theatre is properly sterilised before procedures.

* Prepare and set up necessary surgical instruments and equipment.

* Maintain a sterile environment, including sterilising gloves, gowns, and materials.

* Assist the surgeon throughout surgery with essential tasks.

Patient & Team Support

* Perform initial counts of sponges, instruments, and needles.

* Liaise with other nursing teams to ensure seamless patient care.

* Assist with wound dressings and post-surgical procedures.

* Prepare patients for transfer to the recovery room.

Job Requirements

* NMC Registered Nurse / ODP qualification
* Scrub experience in a theatre setting
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
