The Role:

The opportunity is to join a prestigious financial services organisation, working in their talented platform engineering team, ensuring all applications are set up and running correctly for testing purposes.

This client operates on a hybrid working model with 2 days being onsite in Moorgate

The Responsibilities:

• Work with Project Managers, Test Teams and Change Managers, to ensure the correct environment is set up, through technical installation, configuration and support, for detailed application testing.
• Drive automation within the delivery process, utilising Python primarily, and update CI/CD pipelines
• Provide assistance to the S/W Engineering team for QA testing
• Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot the existing test environments
• Compiling and updating detailed deployment instruction documentation

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience with Linux to v.8 and Windows up to v.2019 O/S
• Excellent python scripting skills are essential for this role
• Demonstrable experience with CI/CD tools such as Ansible, BitBucket, Bamboo and Artifactory 
• Good understanding of virtualised environments and experience working in an Agile framework
• Strong knowledge of GitLab/GitHub
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team player
