Generalist Role

We have been at the forefront of green services provision since 1989 and offer innovative solutions for the management and maintenance of the green environment.

We are looking for an HR Officer to join our small team of HR professionals. The key responsibility is to actively support the business by providing technical knowledge and support with our HR systems, proactively advising and assisting our managers to ensure the success of their recruitment campaigns and providing guidance to managers on a range of HR matters. The HR Officer will also assist with key HR projects and initiatives helping the business to achieve its stategic objectives.

More about the role:

  • Working with our HR Systems (People & Payroll, ATS and Learning & Management System) to ensure they are fully and effectively utilised, kept updated and proactively managed, supporting the operational management teams with recruitment, onboarding and talent management.

  • Taking responsibility for, and a proactive approach to, sourcing the best candidates and working with managers to ensure the success of their recruitment campaigns.

  • Supporting the business with all on-boarding activities.

  • Supporting the business with employee engagement and retention initiatives and becoming an employer of choice in the local areas.

  • Training Management teams on the use of our systems and how to get the best out of them; focussing on continuous improvement

  • Supporting the wider HR team providing HR advice and guidance to Managers on all ER related matters

  • Provide support on ad-hoc projects as required.

Skills and Personal Qualities:

  • Knowledge gained in a similar role in a multi site organisation

  • Ability to establish professional credibility, trust and gain respect from HR colleagues and business managers.

  • Approachable, self motivated and self reliant

  • Good organisation and people skills, together with a proactive and engaging approach.

  • Degree or other equivalent qualification, CIPD qualified or working towards a qualification
