We are hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of utility and civil engineering projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can ensure cost control, contract compliance, and strong financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and valuations

* Oversee subcontractor accounts, including valuations and variations

* Administer contracts and ensure compliance with best practices

* Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and reconciliations

* Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities

* Negotiate and agree on final accounts with clients and subcontractors

* Support tender preparation and contract claims

* Work closely with project managers and finance teams to meet financial objectives

Key Requirements:

* Experience in utilities, infrastructure, or civil engineering sectors

* Strong knowledge of NEC, JCT, or similar contracts

* Proficiency in cost reporting and commercial management

* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

* Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

* Experience with major utility providers or tier 1 contractors

* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards
